Storm Henry: Clackmannanshire and Kincardine Bridge: advance warning for possible closures

1 February 2016

Advance Warning

Possible closures: A876 Clackmannanshire and A985 Kincardine Bridges

Please be aware that due to predicted gale force conditions throughout the day and overnight on Monday 1st February to Tuesday 2nd February the A876 Clackmannanshire Bridge and A985 Kincardine Bridge will both be subject to closures to high-sided vehicles. If winds reach predicted peaks approaching 80mph then full closures are highly likely.

Please note that from 9pm the Forth Road Bridge will expected to close to all vehicles overnight due to very high winds. This will increase the amount of traffic on the other bridges so please avoid travel unless absolutely necessary.

If a closure is required a signed diversion will be put in place, with traffic intending to cross the Firth of Forth being sent to the A91.

If you must travel today or tonight please check with Traffic Scotland before setting out: https://trafficscotland.org/ or via Twitter @trafficscotland
