Amey supports Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2014

Amey welcomed a visit from Cabinet Secretary for Training, Youth and Women’s Employment Angela Constance; to meet a group of apprentices at Amey’s Eurocentral headquarters at the launch Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2014.

Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2014, organised by Skills Development Scotland, begins Monday 19th May and sees more than 120 events celebrating apprenticeships taking place from Shetland to the Borders.

Amey is committing over the next two years to creating at least 120 new opportunities for new employees through its emerging talent programmes, which include a range of apprenticeships, graduate recruitment and work placements.

27 apprentices from across Amey divisions in Scotland took part in the visit – including Highways, Built Environment, CEFA Rail, Utilities & Defence and Social Housing - and Ms Constance took the time to speak to all of the in turn.
