A720 Sheriffhall Roundabout: Traffic Signals

An emergency repair is required to the traffic lights on the eastbound A720 at Sheriffhall Roundabout, after a vehicle struck the lights and caused significant damage to the signals.

Engineers have worked around the clock and the lights were operational in time for the Monday morning peak. However, a full repair is still required and this work will continue on Monday 15th May. Outwith peak times the lights may be switched off for short periods to allow for further investigation/repair work to continue. When the lights are off the route will operate as a standard roundabout and traffic will still be able to use it.

A maintenance team remains on site, and an Amey TRISS (Trunk Road Incident Support Service) vehicle will be on site to report on traffic and deal with any incidents. A full repair will take place as an overnight maintenance scheme, in due course.

Road users are being asked to take care when traversing the roundabout. Please check in with Traffic Scotland for the latest updates on the A720.
